In a secluded little Gulf Island bay, bask in the privacy of a pebble and shell beach and watch the boats drift through Gabriola Pass. Facing south from the beach towards Victoria on Vancouver Island, you'll overlook Valdes, Ruxton and Decourcy Islands. 'Realescape Cottage' is well separated from the owners' cottage and is very private. There's a peekaboo view of the ocean from the cottage and a lovely ocean view from the adjacent 'exclusive-use' grassy knoll area with picnic table and a 19' travel trailer, which can serve as a fabulous 'second bedroom' for kids or a second couple. The large L-shaped deck has a table, chairs, chaise-lounge and BBQ. You have full access to a gorgeous private beach, down a sometimes challenging flight of stairs. The cottage is fully equipped and has cable TV, WiFi, and a dedicated telephone line. The tiled bathroom has a shower and vanity sink, and a small dining area separates the kitchen and living area. The bedroom has a double bed, and there's a pullout sofa in the living room. We have tennis racquets and mountain bikes, and a row boat and two kayaks are available (at our discretion) for a small fee. Three night minimum. Price includes all taxes. Located at the south end of Gabriola near Degnen Bay and Silva Bay, just a 15 minute drive from the Village shopping area and our ferry 'Quinsam', which gets you to Nanaimo in just 20 minutes. Daily scheduled flights from Silva Bay to Vancouver International Airport take just 12 minutes. 'Realescape' is truly a great place to swim, bike, kayak or just hangout.
